Mandy here from Hunt & Gather. I am so excited to announce that Hunt & Gather Hair Company’s reopening date is Monday, June 15, 2020!
I ask that you please read the entirety of this email to understand the health and safety measures we are taking as stylists and as a salon, and to understand your responsibilities as a guest.
I have already rebooked my clients that had their appointments cancelled due to COVID -19. I apologize for the potential wait to get your first appointment. My schedule has changed. My new hours are Sunday 9-4, Monday 9-4, Tuesday 1-9 and Thursday 9-4. I cannot book outside of those hours so if you are attempting to book something online and it shows that I am booked, you will have to move on to the next date available or add yourself to my waitlist on Vagaro to get automatic updates about potential cancellations. I will only be seeing one client at a time so no more double booking:)

Health and Safety Measures
Hunt & Gather is taking strict measures to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. We have developed our COVID-19 safety plans with the recommendations laid out by WorkSafeBC, the BC Centre for Disease Control, and our provincial and federal government and health officers.

When you visit Hunt & Gather, you will notice the following steps taken by our team to help ensure everyone’s health and safety:
Our team is fully trained in appropriate infection control procedures.
All stylists will be wearing masks or face shields and will wear new gloves and a fresh apron with each guest.
Plexiglass dividers will be installed between every station, shampoo sinks and the front desk. We have re-configured the salon to spread out stations and remove all seating areas.
We are not currently scheduling wraparounds or double-booking guests, so your stylist will only be with you while you’re in the salon.
No magazines or books will be available to read.
We are no longer offering beverages to guests while they are in the salon.
When you visit Hunt & Gather, we ask that you and all guests observe the following guidelines to help ensure everyone’s health and safety
You must reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 (fever, dry cough, tiredness, feeling unwell) on the day of your appointment, if you have been travelling and are required to isolate, or if you have a loved one who is symptomatic. There are no exceptions to these rules. We are waiving our cancellation policy for foreseeable future to give you flexibility.
Do not arrive early. Please wait in your car or outside of the salon until your stylist is ready to welcome you inside.
Only the scheduled guest is permitted in the salon during the service. Do not bring friends or family members for your service. For individuals who require assistance or for children, one person can accompany them and stand at the station while the service is being performed.
Services are by appointment only, so please no walk-ins.
You must wear a mask when you are in the salon. You can bring your own or use a disposable mask that we will provide.
Upon entering the salon, please read our infection control poster at the front desk to review requirements for services.
Please limit how many belongings (coats, bags, etc.) you bring into the salon. Each station has a hook for your belongings.
No food or drink can be consumed in the salon. Your mask must remain over your nose and mouth at all times.
Please keep your phone tucked away on your person during the service. You may look at your phone during processing time.
You will need to remain seated at your stylist’s station until instructed to move to the shampoo sink or if going to the restroom.
If you are buying product, touchless product purchasing is in place and a stylist will happily get the product off the shelf for you.
Feel free to ask any of our stylists about all the steps we are taking with health and safety in mind.
We would love to accommodate everyone right away, but we are extending appointment times for each service to allow for sanitation and disinfection procedures between each guest. We are also limiting the number of stylists working in the salon at one time. As such, there may be a delay in getting your first appointment while we try to fit everyone in. We ask that you please be patient and kind, as this process is difficult for everyone involved.
Please be advised that certain service prices may be higher than you would normally expect, as they will require additional time or product (i.e. colour services). I will be happy to provide you with a quote prior to your appointment. At this time, I am not providing any discounted services.
We understand that these measures will result in an experience that looks and feels different for all of us, but we hope that you can relax and enjoy your services at Hunt & Gather, and trust that we are taking the necessary steps to keep us all safe!
Online booking is now open! You can book your next appointment with me right away on the booking link included at the bottom of this email. Booking opened May 17 for guests that had to be rescheduled.
